Optimization is usually considered an increase in the efficiency of an enterprise with the same amount of resources due to more rational use and due to the identification of additional reserves among them, which is facilitated by the analysis and assessment of activities.

Vehicles are production resources, so here their optimization includes automated control over the technical condition and timing of inspections and maintenance, the task of which is to maintain the "legal capacity" of all the company's vehicles at the proper level, as well as control over their registration and compliance with the validity of documents ... The optimization program solves both problems in such a database as the transport database, where all vehicles are listed with division into tractors and trailers, for each unit, comprehensive technical information is given - speed, carrying capacity, make and model, repair work, replacement of spare parts, and the history of the routes performed by her is presented, along which the optimization program also presents the parameters of movement - mileage, duration, average speed, fuel consumption, number of parking lots, etc. with an indication of the validity period, and the optimization program independently controls the periods indicated in them, informing in advance about the imminent end.

Control over vehicles, more precisely, over their movement and routes, is established in the production schedule, formed to optimize the accounting of their use when planning routes, in accordance with the contracts available to the company and incoming current requests for transportation. The graphs against each vehicle are shown with busy periods highlighted in blue and maintenance periods highlighted in red to visually highlight the vehicle's unavailability during that period for the route. If you click on the blue zone, a window will open, which will list the parameters of the vehicle's movement when performing a given route - where the car is heading, what section of the path it is currently on, whether it is moving empty or with a load, whether the cooling mode is working or not, where a place is provided for its loading and / or unloading. If you click on the red zone, the optimization program will open a similar window, but with a list of repairs that should be performed and / or that have already taken place, taking into account the perfect replacement of spare parts.

Such a graph clearly demonstrates the efficiency of using vehicles, therefore, even visually, it is possible to determine which machine is performing more work, since the selected periods are distributed by dates and the fewer unpainted sections, the more routes the vehicle takes and the more often it is in motion. All routes in the optimization program have their own description, which lists the conditions and time of movement, and for each individual route, the cost is calculated taking into account the specified traffic conditions: the standard fuel consumption is indicated according to the length of the route, the cost of parking according to the number, daily allowances for drivers according to the duration of the route, others expenses. It is clear that the conditions of the route can change with a different nature of the movement, and in this case there will be a deviation from the planned indicators, but the optimization program, which continuously keeps statistical records of all indicators, including data on the routes performed, will determine the most efficient nature of the movement when road traffic costs and delivery times are minimal, and the condition of the vehicles remains within the established norm.

The technical condition depends on the nature of the movement, therefore the optimization program, providing data for each trip and the driver, allows you to determine those who really care about their vehicles, choosing a driving mode that makes it possible to keep them in maximum working form.
