Types of biomaterial

Accounting for biomaterial sampling is very important. Before conducting a laboratory analysis, it is necessary to take a biomaterial from the patient. It can be: urine, feces, blood and more. Possible "types of biomaterial" are listed in a separate guide, which can be changed and supplemented if necessary.

Here is a list of pre-populated values.

Patient record

Next, we record the patient for the necessary types of research. Often, patients are booked in for several types of tests at once. Therefore, in this case, it is better for the clinic to use service codes . So the speed of work will be much higher than when searching for each service by its name.

And for the laboratory, the ' Recording step ' is made smaller than for the consultative reception. Due to this, it will be possible to fit a significantly larger number of patients in the schedule window.

For a medical worker who collects biomaterial, additional columns must be displayed .

Biomaterial sampling

Select an action at the top "Biomaterial sampling" .

A special form will appear, with which you can assign a number to the tubes.

To do this, first select in the list of analyzes only those for which a certain biomaterial will be taken. Then, in the drop-down list, select the biomaterial itself, for example: ' Urine '. And press the ' OK ' button.

If the patient is registered for laboratory tests, for which it is necessary to take a different biomaterial, then this sequence of actions will need to be repeated again, only for a different biomaterial.

After clicking on the ' OK ' button , the status of the row will change and the columns will be filled "Biomaterial" And "Tube number" .

The assigned tube number can be easily printed as a barcode on a label printer . Other important information about the patient can also be displayed there if the label size is large enough. To do this, select the internal report from above "vial label" .

Here is an example of a small label so that it can fit on any test tube.

Even if you do not use barcode scanners , later you can easily find the desired study by manually overwriting its unique number from the tube.

Find study by tube number

To find the required study by tube number, go to the module "visits" . We will have a search box . We read it with a scanner or manually rewrite the number of the test tube. Since the ' Tube Number ' field is in numeric format , the value must be entered twice.

The laboratory analysis we need will be instantly found.

Submit research results

It is to this analysis that we will later attach the result of the study . The study itself can be carried out on its own, or subcontracted to a third-party laboratory.

Notify when tests are ready

It is possible to send SMS and Email to the patient when his tests are ready.
