Control in a bus station is a rather complex and multi-component process due to the presence of many processes that must be monitored on an ongoing basis. Long gone are the days when there was free entrance to bus stations, paper coupons were sold at the ticket offices, which were presented to the driver, and that's all. Nobody checked documents, luggage, there was no registration of tickets, and even no special control over the congestion of bus station. On short suburban routes, people even rode while standing. Today the situation is fundamentally different. At the entrance, most often there are entrance frames with metal detectors, and, taking into account the events of the last year, now cabins are spraying the incoming antibacterial composition. To board the bus, a passenger must register at the bus station. A ticket with a barcode is attached to a special reader on the turnstile. The data is sent through an online connection to a central server. If the code is in the database, the turnstile receives a command to let the passenger pass. If the ticket is damaged or there is a technical failure in the control system, even approaching the bus can be very difficult.
