Warehouse business transactions generate a lot of accounting documents. One of them is an approved form stock control card. Although its structure is optional for commercial organizations, it continues to be popular with most companies. Information in the stock control card is entered only on the basis of incoming and outgoing documents. When filling out the form the first time or for a new product, difficulties may arise. If the cost of goods in batches is different, you can either start a separate card for each price, or change the table and add a column to it indicating the cost of the product. If materials come in some units of measurement, and are released in others (tons and kilograms), then it is allowed to indicate both attributes in one cell.

If it is necessary to release products to several identical invoices, it is allowed to make one entry listing the numbers of all documents. If the product does not have an expiration date, a dash is placed in the column. The same applies to the requisites grade, profile and others. In the ‘Signature’ column, it is put by the storekeeper, and not by a third party who has accepted or shipped the goods. It is convenient to keep stock records of goods in electronic form. In this case, you can easily edit their graphs using programmatic methods. In addition, if necessary, it is possible to print the document on paper. Therefore, it is advisable to install programs in the warehouse for accounting of goods, which significantly speed up work processes.

The second part of the stock control card includes two tables. In the first table, the name of the inventory is entered, as well as, if the composition contains precious stones and metals - their name, type, etc. parameters, including data from the product passport. The second table contains information about the movement of goods: the date of receipt or release from the warehouse, number of the document on the basis of which the transfer of products is carried out (according to document flow and in order), the name of the supplier or consumer, accounting unit of issue (name of the unit of measurement), coming, consumption, remainder, storekeeper's signature with the date of the operation performed. In the last part of the stock control card, the employee who filled it out must certify all the information entered with their signature with mandatory decoding. Also, the position of the enterprise employee and the date of filling out the document should be indicated here.
Obviously, in the case of registration of an control card of stock control in paper form of a more or less large industrial or commercial enterprise that works with a wide range of products, the proportion of manual labor of employees in the total volume of operations performed becomes simply enormous. Moreover, this work requires composure, concentration, accuracy, responsibility of storekeepers (which, to be honest, is extremely rare), otherwise documents will be processed somehow, cards will be filled in with errors, and then there will be shortages in the data. In addition, such problems also mean an increase in the volume of work of the accounting department, loaded with constant registration of balance sheets, requesting actual balances from stocks, reconciling with accounting; if discrepancies are found by conducting unscheduled inventories (also a very time-consuming task when working with a wide and varied assortment).
The deficiencies need to be written off (and what else to do with them), which means the execution of additional documents, a general increase in costs and a concomitant increase in the cost of production.
