When is it right for the dentist or administrator to call the patient back in the dentist program? The doctor might have set a date for a follow-up examination after a complicated treatment with a difficult-to-predict result, but the patient did not make an appointment (did not show up). Unfortunately, not all dentists keep track of the appropriateness of calling the patient for a follow-up examination; usually they cannot define the status of such an examination or identify it with a free professional examination. After the treatment with a particular specialist has been completed or after a complex treatment involving specialists of different profiles has been completed, an agreement might have been made with the patient that he or she will be called to inquire primarily about his or her well-being as well as impressions of the clinic. Either the doctor or the receptionist gets permission to make the call. Otherwise, it is considered to be rude to call without the permission of clients. In the client's service card or in another automated form, such an agreement is recorded and must be complied with. Otherwise the client will conclude that he or she is not taken care of and that the clinic employees are not obliged to do so. Or you can make an agreement that clients will be reminded of the due date of a hygienic cleaning or a free preventive examination. This can be a phone call or an email - as the client wishes.

No one wants to belittle the medical component of dental care, but modern life forces us to try on economic standards, and dentistry is not the first and not the last area of professional human activity to find itself on this path. What is the correct way to say that dentists "provide care" or "provide services"? Of course, if we are talking about cosmetic dentistry (teeth whitening, aesthetic veneers, orthodontic correction of mild forms of dental crowding) - these are services. But the usual amount of treatment in dentistry (cavity treatment, professional hygiene, prosthetics) is, of course, medical help. But it is at the same time services, because the doctor most often offers to perform certain manipulations, and the patient agrees and pays for them. Free dentistry, as we know, does not exist as such, with "free" treatment under the state guarantee program, the insurance company pays for the patient (dental treatment) or social security (prosthetics).

Dentist program

Most often, personal financial plans are set up to dentists when they switch to fee-for-service. Many managers believe that this is the only way to ensure guaranteed receipts to the clinic's budget. However, this is not true. Most doctors are able to deliver much more than the set plan. If there is a plan, doctors artificially adjust their own output to the plan. The old Soviet approach is in effect: if I regularly exceed the plan, I will get a raise in tasks obligatory to be fulfilled. In some cases, amounts exceeding the plan are carried over to the next month, especially for orthopedic doctors. The manager must be wise - in some months the doctor may under-perform the plan if he or she over-performed it in previous months. If you take control of the flow of paying patients, you can get doctors to make much more than the plan. At the same time it is necessary to take care that the doctor is provided with everything he or she needs, and that he or she does not have to buy materials and tools at fairs at their own expense. Of course, this doesn’t happen often these days.

To interact with administrators, you need to enter such zero-cost services as "call a patient" or "preventive care call" into the program. Next to such a service, the administrator leaves a comment, and then you can see when and how many times the patient was called in the program and with what result.
